About
Opera Meets HIPHOP
HipHopera Project is an innovative musical collective founded by opera singers Fabrizio Chollet (Sholet) and Lourdes Miranda (Lulumir). We fuse opera, hip-hop, reggae, jazz, and Latin rhythms to create a new sound where classical technique, modern beats, and live musicianship collide. At the heart of our work is the original meaning of R.A.P. — Rhythm and Poetry; we honor its roots as a poetic, political, and cultural expression.
From Tijuana to Los Angeles, Madrid, Paris, and Mexico City, we perform internationally and collaborate with artists, producers, and venues that share our vision: to bring opera to new generations, and prove that classical music can evolve .
